Creative Music Management was founded in 2021 by Missy Wood to honor her late brother Arthur "Boomer" Hodge III, who first introduced her to metal music at a young age. Missy formed CMM with the foundational principle of being a music fan first, with a heart overflowing with passion for the local scene. Based outside of Charlotte, NC, CMM combines that passion with an ever-growing network of venue owners, bands, promoters and fans. CMM observed an amazingly talented scene struggling for proper attention yet driven to be heard and took the adage home: be the change you want to see. She set out to be an unstoppable positive influencer in the music scene partnering with various Charities and Organizations such as: United Hope Survivors Network and Webb Street School raising a combined total of over $25,000. CMM specializes in unsigned local and regional artist management with the goal of growing exposure to the scene as a whole. Often referred to as the CMM Family, CMM supports other bands and artists, and enthusiastically promotes each other. As CMM has grown, so has the Family: CMM now proudly boasts a band roster spanning (8 bands across 2 states). CMM also assists in booking, social media management, merchandise, promotions, and so much more. CMM has a dedicated Street Team as well as a large network of playlist curators, media outlets, photographers, and other amazing talent that makes the scene what it is.
